Lantern Hollow

★★★★★ 4.7 Editor rating

Lantern Hollow is a mood more than a challenge, and I mean that as praise. You wander a small hand-drawn village after dark, lighting lanterns and slowly uncovering why the place feels so still. Puzzles are gentle and environmental — nothing that'll block you for an hour, just enough to make you look closely at everything.

Everything is tap-to-interact, and the game is patient about it. There's no timer, no fail state, just exploration and a soundtrack that had me leaving the volume up. It's the rare mobile game I played with headphones on purpose.

Performance is smooth and battery use is modest thanks to the mostly static art. If you want something calm to unwind with at the end of a day, this is an easy recommendation. I finished it in two sittings and immediately wanted more.
